about

The album opens with a boat in a storm, the protagonist declares his
exilement and the removal of his name. The boat sinks and the hero clutches a precious skull as he sinks underwater as he is drowning he refuses to die. After resurfacing he witnesses the waves overcoming the survivors and the remains of the boat which has broken in two. The protagonist becomes
unconscious.

lyrics

Rain pounds her bow
Waves swirl high round
Wind tears mainsail
Lightning strikes the sea
I have been cast
From my homeland
They took my name
Waters flood in
Men beg their gods
Splinters sinking
Dark depths take us
Drowning in salt
Death won’t take me
I clutch her skull
The surface looms
I breathe again
Looking back on our ship
She is torn in two
Waves slam remains
Of the hull and crew
Blackness overcomes my eyes
